Station History[]
WCHD signed on the air back on April 7, 1984 by Waterman Broadcasting. It signed on initially as an Independent, airing various cartoons in the morning, various syndicated programming in the afternoon, movies during prime time, and infomercials throughout the night. WCHD also aired various religious programming, including The 700 Club. WCHD remained as an independent for merely 2 years up until 1986 when the newly formed FOX Network signed on. WCHD ditched the Independent affiliation and went to FOX where up until this date, has remained with FOX. In 2015, after 31 years of owning the station, Waternan Broadcasting sold the station to Kruger Broadcasting. Kruger didn't hold the station for long as on Oct. 28, the station was sold to Berfield/Willis Broadcast Corporation. WCHD was not affected by the 2015 fictional tv realignment.
