KSWG-TV (channel 8) is the longtime secondary KWB affiliate located in Memphis, TN. The station is owned by MediaStar Corporation and is part of a duopoly with WSMS the Star Affiliate in Memphis, TN.
SWG launched in 1967 and was started by Tribune but was sold to MediaStar in 2003 due to affiliate agreements and swapping stations with Journal in 2002. SWG also has the Cable Network called SWG USA for other regional areas that are not the Mid-South.
As of 9/20/2023 WSMS and KSWG have combined into the Legendary SWG Building in Germantown, TN. Also SWG and WSMS became the 4th properties to launch the MediaStar One Graphics brand new unified look to be completed by Late 2024 to Early 2025.
