BIGMEDIA

BIG Media (formerly Holo Corp.) is a broadcast company based in Baltimore, MD. As of April 14th, 2022, they own 19 stations and operate 2 others.

History[]

Note that this article is still under construction.

In 2008, BIG Media bought Jacksonville, NC NBC affiliate WCWW. In 2010, they acquired the operating rights to WNIT. They heavily benefited from Kruejac's exit from broadcasting, acquiring multiple stations.

KLVE and KZBC were sold to the The Pierre Péladeau Company in 2021.

In 2022, BIG Media traded multiple stations to other buyers for 3 stations in a deal that also saw it sell KMPB, which at this point aired Infomercials.

In 2023, BIG Media sold two more stations and signed on KWHY-CD. In January, they bought KJPH-TV.

Station similarities[]

BIG Media Stations are required to air a 1-hour program on (usually)Sundays entitled "Holo Sports Weekly", which is a program similar to the late NFL Primetime on ESPN. On stations with a flexible primetime schedule or Independent stations, it airs at 9:00 PM. On WCWW, it airs at 2:00 on Mondays.

Every station owned by BIG Media besides WCWW airs syndicated and in-house E/I programming under the name "The Dream Network".
