Anticipalivision Corporation, or Anticipalivision for short, is a broadcast company whose flagship station is WPLY-TV and is based in Madison, Wisconsin.

History[]

Anticipalivision was founded on May 31, 1978 as Liminary. 19 weeks later, they launched their flagship station WPLY as WHAR. It remained Anticipalivision's only station until Channel 8 Racine (WCQU) was bought by said company on March 31, 1981. In 1986, the name of the company changed to Bowlecommunications, and a year after that, they bought WTTV and WVFT. 9 years later, KMSG were bought by said company on July 10 of that year. Almost 6 years later, they bought WGAT-TV (real life equivalent is WMYV-TV), and a year prior, they launched KPLS. In 2002, they bought KXZV. In 2020, the name of the company changed to the one we have today.
