Alcyone Network is an American basic cable television network owned by Freemax Corporation that launched on October 24, 2022, as WLAR Network. The network utilizes the channel spectrum that housed the Ident television network. The network launched with a focus on dramatic material and feature films. In July 2024, it performed a channel drift to focus more on comedy programs, both scripted and reality based, but continues to broadcast feature films. The network is headquartered in Orlando, Florida.
The network was originally set to launch on October 3, 2022. Following the destruction left by Hurricane Ian, which damaged the broadcasting studios of WLAR, its launch date was pushed to October 24 at 10AM (ET).
