The 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards, honoring the best achievements in film and television performances for the year, was a milestone event in the history of the Screen Actors Guild‐American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA). For the first time, the awards ceremony was broadcast on network television via Horizon Television and was also available for streaming on Netflix. The ceremony started at 8:00p.m. EST / 5:00p.m. PST

The ceremony was hosted by British actor Idris Elba. On Horizon Television, the show's red-carpet and backstage interviews were presented by Nancy O'Dell, Horizon News' chief entertainment correspondent and entertainment anchor of Horizon Mornings, and Tamsen Fadal, co-anchor of Horizon Mornings. On Netflix, Tan France and Elaine Welteroth presented the show's red-carpet and backstage interviews.

The 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards marked a significant shift in the broadcasting of the event. Horizon Television, a leading television network, aired the awards ceremony, making it accessible to a broader audience. In addition, the event was also streamed on Netflix, allowing global access and on-demand viewing. In January 2023, Netflix struck an 11th hour deal to televise the show, after originally being aired on TBS/TNT, which its previous deal expired in May 2022. In late 2023, Horizon Television struck a deal with Netflix for exclusive rights to air selected Netflix acquired programming on its network for up to 10 years. Therefore, the network was allowed to simulcast the award ceremony.
