I need help trying to maneuver here... Can someone respond to me please??? I have questions... I'm new here...
How would I know what channel numbers are available depending on the markets I work on!?!?
(Edited by CPLANAS1985)
Yes, you heard right. The first south african tv, company is now founded and will broadcast as "TVU" on the first of July 2024. This will be historic. As an independent network, we plan to be a first-class channel with a BIG catalog of programs, whether it would be comedy or others! We will also co operate with other TV stations(local and internationally) into agreement of affiliates airing on our networks. John Minsk had a dream, a big one
ABN GROUP - Seattle, WA
For official release
MAR 8, 2024
ABN Group and Toonopolis have decided to suspend Code Red: Ghost Recon in its entirety.
Code Red: Ghost Recon - Operation Messiah was pulled from air back in November 2023 due to the ongoing conflict in Israel and Palestine. By counsel of ABN Group, it has been decided to terminate its current contract with Sonar Animation, the studio responsible for the creation of the series. At the same time, in December of 2023, reruns of Code Red: Ghost Recon - Arabian Missions were also pulled from syndication. As of Friday, March 8th, 2024, the entire Code Red: Ghost Recon series is unavailable for streaming effective permanently.
Our second point of discussion is regarding a planned Dragonball series marathon in April. It was to feature select episodes from the entire Dragonball series, including Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, and Dragonball Super. It was also going to feature select films from the franchise, including Tree of Might, Bojack Unbound, Bardock- Father of Goku, Dragonball Super: Broly, and Dragonball Super: Super Hero to name a few. However, this past week, agents from Bird Studio and Crunchyroll announced the sad passing of Akira Toriyama, the creator of the Dragonball series. He passed away at 68 from acute subdural hematoma.
Relatives of Mr. Toriyama ask kindly of our Toonopolis viewers to refrain from sending flowers, condolences gifts, offerings, etc. Also, the family kindly asks our Toonopolis viewers to refrain from direct interaction with relatives of Mr. Toriyama. We will provide you with further details as they become available. At this time, ABN Group, Bird Studio, and Crunchyroll in solidarity for Mr. Toriyama will not air the Dragonball series marathon in April on Toonopolis. ABN Group will provide further details on what will take place in April regarding what marathon will be featured.

Hi everyone. As of today, the Official Fictional Radio Stations Wiki has been approved for adoption of new ownership, in which we have gave it a refreshed look and are in the process of cleaning up to make it presentable to all once again.
Like FTVS, all rules that are put here apply to OFRS. So don't break any of them!
Anyways, enjoy creating your visions of TV and radio stations!
The FCC has approved the application for WDJF channel 20, applied by the Terre Haute, Indiana-based broadcasting corporation Kyle Broadcasting. The New station will launch on March 29th. The station serves Danville and Champaign, but affiliation for a network is yet to be determined.

GloboRB has announced that a major business refresh will take place on January 1, 2024. The refresh will see many changes on the company's television division.
GloboRB has confirmed the following that will take place at the beginning of the new year:
Spark will shift to a young adult network, tweaking the age range from 14-34 to 18-25. As a result, two of its original programming will move to the Next streaming service.
The Next streaming service will rebrand as "RB Next" to avoid any further confusion with its competitor Netflix.
Three of the four digital multicast networks will rebrand on the morning of January 1st. RB Life, RB Drama, and Apollo Next will become "Freenity Lifestyle", "Freenity Drama", and "Apollo Select" respectively.
Pivot will upgrade as Freenity's secondary network and replace all Nueve television stations across the country. This was due to the latter receiving several warnings from the FCC for broadcasting programming not suitable for terrestrial television, even if edited. Nueve will return as a cable television network.
TV stations WSMR-DT Richmond and WUPM West Palm Beach will drop their UPN programming on January 1, 2024, and switch to Pivot.
With Pivot's upgrade, the company will launch two new OTA subchannels: "Desperado" will air Action and Western programming targeted to men, and "Zest" will air pop culture-oriented programming accompanied with music programming.
Viveza will cease broadcasting on December 31, 2023. Its programming will move to UnidoRB.
The rest of the company's assets will not be affected by these changes.

Sony Pictures and Buena Vista Distribution made the announcement that The Good Dish (a series that featured Daphne Oz, Dr. Mehmet Oz's daughter) will make its return in syndication with Buena Vista handling the distribution beginning in January, 2024. The Good Dish is set to be picked up immediately for XYZ affiliates since XYZ shook up their daytime schedule so that their affiliates will have more time for syndication.
"I was impressed with how The Good Dish performed for stations that carried The Dr. Oz Show. And when the opportunity to pick up their series following their cancellation last year came up, we jumped at it. All we had to do was wait for the perfect timing. When XYZ announced plans of shaking up their daytime schedule, we knew that it was time to bring back The Good Dish," Buena Vista chairman Ken Constantine said.
The Good Dish isn't the only series that Buena Vista is going to be distributing, as they announce that they will be producing and distributing a relaunch version of The Chew, which aired on ABC following the cancellation of All My Children and aired from 2011-18.
"The Chew, just like The Good Dish, is the kind of direction we want our daytime shows to go. We want everyone to know that Buena Vista isn't aimed just for game shows, but we can produce informative talk shows as well. I'm looking forward to see how this is going to work, and we have high hopes for both The Good Dish and The Chew, Constantine said.
I'll be plainly honest, the name "Holo Corp." means nothing. It was just some gibberish word I typed out back when I first joined this wiki in 2016. It has NOTHING to do with Hololive or holographic or anything like that.
And to be brutally honest, I hate that name,
So, I have been pondering on a new name.
And you know what I need... I need something BIG.
Oh yeah.
Holo Corp. is now BIG Media.

We wanna show a preview of what's to come for Horizon. Let's start with news. As you know, our desktop website URL is horizon.news. Why? Because we believe in the future, there's gonna be websites that'll take advantage of custom .names to help promote their brand or section of it.
The number one thing, however, is what does our website look like for Horizon News? As you know, our brand language is modern, clean and simple. And our website has no compromise towards this principle.
We want the website to feel as streamlined as possible. And we believe that we've reached our goal with that. All the navigation that you'll usually see at the top of a website, is moved to the left side, with simple icons. If you hover over to the sidebar, which will host navigation, you'll get the categories.
The background of Horizon News' website is dynamic. It's interchangeable between the featured image, and changes between other images hovered over by the mouse. And it is blurred and dimmed so the user can focus on the story they want to view. That's the homepage of horizon.news.
We also have the Horizon News app. This is what that looks like:
Just as simple as our website, maybe even simpler. Minimal branding, with categories of news topics you can view by clicking on the text of the topic or using the swipe gesture of scrolling left or right.
The nav. bar at the bottom has a nice blur effect with simple icons, tinted with reflection of a color. A color that's not part of branding, but personalization towards the user. Regular news apps have only one color, and it's their color branding. Horizon let's the user pick their color tailored to them.
Some examples below:
As you can see dark mode is a default on most colors. We also have some light modes.
We want the Horizon user experience to be dynamic, personalized, and simple to use. Our branding and user experience is not to be bound and tied by one color and feel like a corporate ad billboard. It is to flow with the user. We hope this quick note you read makes you wish actual companies in the news department will do something like this, or any media company in general.
Again, this is a quick preview for the next phase of this Horizon project. Please stay tuned for further updates.

With the holidays upon us, XYZ Sports has you covered via airing simulcasts of games from ESPN+.

Happy Thanksgiving from ESPN on XYZ!
I've been mulling on this idea for a while, but haven't mustered the time to bring this forward to everyone until this day. Now, we know that in reality FOX Sports/FS1 and NBC/USA split the pot during the entirety of the NASCAR calendar year. Mike Joy leads the FOX brigade of anchors along with Adam Alexander and Vince Welch covering all three of NASCAR's top series (Cup, Xfinity and Trucks) with a questionable panel of color analysts tagging along, many I can't name because FOX somehow rotates them for some stupid reason. On the NBC/USA side is Rick Allen with who else but Little E (Dale, Jr.), Steve Letarte, Jeff Burton and others. That stable, at least to me, has been consistent since joining NBC's return to NASCAR in 2015 after a nine year hiatus. And with USA's return since the 1984 Busch Clash while paired with CBS at that time, it's offered viewers another choice if somehow NBC's coverage goes over their scheduled time since NBCSN no longer exists.
So, I figure I bring this to the forefront because, honestly, having a fresher set of voices, with a fresher network package for a new generation helps bring in more next-gen viewers. I like Bubba Wallace, Chase Elliott, William Byron, Ryan Blaney, among others, bringing in that fresh next-gen stardom and talent. And with newcomers like Josh Berry among others coming to the Cup level in 2024, I'd like for them to be featured on a network worthy of next-gen viewers besides real-life FOX and NBC/USA.
I've thought of three networks that could potentially get a part of this NASCAR package for 2024.
NASCAR on ABN Sports
While ABN never covered Cup, Xfinity or Trucks, they've been covering the Weekly Series as described in the ABN Sports article. This is the beginning of a driver's climb to the big leagues after the local sprints and legends cars. ABN in years before have made bids to cover one of the top three divisions, but got outbid each contract cycle. ABN does intend to continue with the Weekly Series, but it has its work cut out in getting a national series bid with the presence of Horizon and Central.
NASCAR on Central Sports
Central is already lighting up the news industry with Newsnight and their incredible lineup of reporters and anchors. So, if Central wants something worthy of their brand, I do think this would be the ticket for them. The Cup level would be Central's Achilles heel. Should Central choose to add in a NASCAR TV package, this would help grow their Sports division. And since Central is seen in Canada, this would be perfect for covering the Canadian Tire Series.
NASCAR on Horizon Sports
Horizon's streamlined TV and online packages have proven to be its great asset so far in 2023. That's evident in their recent news packages. So, why not have a NASCAR package that Horizon can take to newer levels FOX, NBC and USA would never be able to reach with the type of audience Horizon is already reaching? Plus, Horizon's mobile applications are more presentable, and not so clustered in their breaking news presentations. In addition, Horizon Locals affiliates can add additional NASCAR related programming during race weekends in their markets like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. And with the Chicago Street Race coming in 2024, this may be a great opportunity at hand for Horizon to jump on.
I'd like to hear from Stephen Shiftwell and NewEgg92 on what they think about this proposition and which series they intend to cover with their respective networks. If you need a reference on the hierarchy of NASCAR racing, refer to the NASCAR Wikipedia article.
